Orlando Mitchell sentenced to 66 years for murdering exgirlfriend

The man convicted in the deadly shooting of his exgirlfriend outside a west Indianapolis day care on Sept. 16, 2022, was sentenced to 66 years in the Indiana Department of Correction on Tuesday, April 1.

A few weeks before the sentencing, a jury found Orlando Mitchell guilty of murder and invasion of privacy, violating a protective order.
