Southeastern Avenue reopens after train carrying cornstarch derails on Indys near east side

Southeastern Avenue reopened Tuesday night on Indianapolis east side after a train carrying cornstarch derailed Sunday evening.

IMPD announced the reopening of Southeastern Avenue between South Rural Street and South Sherman Drive in a social media post late April 8, adding, We thank the community for their patience.
