Commission votes to stop paying Muncie firefighter 2 years after he was told to stop coming to work

The City of Muncie is no longer paying a firefighter at the center of a cheating investigation after a vote by a merit commission Thursday night.

Muncie Fire Department captain Troy Dulaney had been on paid administrative leave accused of leading an exam cheating scheme since May 2023, and he has been collecting his full salary the whole time.
