Indianapolis Zoo announces name of baby orangutan

The votes are in!

The Indianapolis Zoo has announced the name of its baby orangutan meet Edi, which means handsome one.

Edi was born to mother Sirih and father Basan on Feb. 20 in the Simon Skjodt International Orangutan Center.

According to the Indianapolis Zoo, out of the more than 9,000 votes cast, Edi captured 50% of the vote, followed by Ketambe with 38% and Lada with 12%.
