Bill to encourage living organ donors dies in Indiana House committee

A bill meant to encourage living people to donate their organs has failed to advance at the Indiana Statehouse.

When 62yearold Danny Ernstes says he never takes a single day for granted, its not a cliché.

Every day that I wake up, Ernstes said. I am grateful to a higher power.

Just three years ago, Ernstes was in Stage 5 kidney failure, staring at death, if he didnt get a kidney transplant.
