Sheriffs deputy injured in Hamilton County crash while responding to disturbance call

A police officer was one of two people taken to hospitals after a traffic crash in Hamilton County around noon Tuesday.

According to a police spokesperson, Hamilton County sheriffs deputies were sent to the area of 146th Street and Warner Trail after a 911 caller reported a physical altercation involving multiple people. An offduty Carmel police officer was the first to arrive and requested urgent assistance because of the ongoing disturbance.
