Indiana State Police identifies womans killer in 53yearold cold case

Indiana State Police say they have identified the killer following a 53yearlong investigation into the murder of Phyllis Bailer.

On Friday, July 7, 1972, 26yearold Bailer was traveling from Indianapolis to Bluffton with her 3yearold daughter in a borrowed car to visit her parents. Bailer and her daughter left Indianapolis around 8 p.m., but they never arrived at her parents house in Bluffton.
