Two former Anderson day care workers are taking steps to avoid criminal conviction after they were accused of mistreating a child in the fall of 2024. Both women agreed to a pretrial diversion program that could end with the criminal charges against them being dismissed.

13 Investigates found the agreement would require the women to complete a combined 40 hours of community service and would result in their records being wiped clean.

The terms of the agreement do not stop the two women from working in child care. It also lays down the terms for the women to try and expunge the charges from their records.

A 14yearold boy was killed in a crash Friday on Interstate 65 in Boone County.

The Lebanon Police Department and other agencies responded to the singlevehicle crash near the 135mile marker northbound just before 5 p.m. on April 4. Officers at the scene found the boy and a 12yearold girl were ejected from the vehicle.

Travel is still difficult in Bartholomew County after days of rain caused major flooding.

In Columbus, rushing water is seemingly everywhere or at least anywhere anyone needs to go.

Floodwaters cut a path right through the heart of Columbus, turning dozens of roads into rivers.

Just water. As far as you can see, said Tina Conrad of Columbus. They call it an ocean. Thats what everybodys saying. Its like looking at an ocean. Thats how much waters just flowing down through there.

It may happen in a matter of seconds when a teen chooses to commit a violent act.

Police send them to Juvenile Detention Center or the Marion County Jail.

This is the new reality of a 15yearold boy in Marion County accused of committing a homicide inside a home on West 27th Street Sunday night.

Fourteenyearold Emmanuel Stone and 18yearold Sean Cox died in the shooting. A third victim survived.

Parts of Jackson County are underwater Monday after historic flooding of the White River.

This is the third highest river in Seymours history, said Indiana Conservation Officer Claire Jenkins.

Parts of the White River in Jackson County crested Sunday evening at more than 19 1/2 feet. The White River, however, isnt the only river out of its banks.
