The day ahead is a changing one. Frost advisories are in effect until 9 a.m. for most of central Indiana, then a switch in things warms temperatures up. Yesterday, the high was only 54 degrees, but today we are headed to the mid60s after our frosty start. Look for jacket weather this morning and sunglasses will be needed later this afternoon.
Look for a high of 60 degrees Thursday with a front moving in bringing rain and a cooler breeze, but we will be looking for a change Friday night into Saturday with highs in upper 70s and cooling to the low 60s Saturday. Saturday, by the way, is the first day of the playoffs for the Pacers against Milwaukee at 1 p.m., and later that evening the Indy Eleven host the Charleston Battery and offer a special Chuck Lofton retirement ticket and Tshirt package.

Indianapolis Zoo announces name of baby orangutan
The votes are in!
The Indianapolis Zoo has announced the name of its baby orangutan meet Edi, which means handsome one.
Edi was born to mother Sirih and father Basan on Feb. 20 in the Simon Skjodt International Orangutan Center.
According to the Indianapolis Zoo, out of the more than 9,000 votes cast, Edi captured 50% of the vote, followed by Ketambe with 38% and Lada with 12%.

Trump administration freezes 2.2 billion in grants to Harvard over campus activism
The federal government says its freezing more than 2.2 billion in grants and 60 million in contracts to Harvard University, after the institution said it would defy the Trump administrations demands to limit activism on campus.
The hold on Harvards funding marks the seventh time President Donald Trumps administration has taken the step at one of the nations most elite colleges, in an attempt to force compliance with Trumps political agenda. Six of the seven schools are in the Ivy League.
In a letter to Harvard Friday, Trumps administration had called for broad government and leadership reforms at the university, as well as changes to its admissions policies. It also demanded the university audit views of diversity on campus, and stop recognizing some student clubs.

Officials investigate why Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiros home was set on fire
Investigators worked Tuesday to uncover the motive behind an arson fire over the weekend at Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiros mansion, the latest act of political violence in the U.S.
They dug into Cody Balmers background after, authorities say, he scaled an iron security fence in the middle of the night, eluded police and set fire to the Pennsylvania governors mansion.
Balmer, 38, of Harrisburg, was denied bail Monday as he faced charges including attempted homicide, terrorism and arson. He did not enter a plea to the charges.
He had told police he planned to beat Shapiro with a small sledgehammer if he encountered him after breaking into the building, according to court documents. A motive for the attack, including whether it had anything to do with Shapiros politics or religious beliefs, wasnt immediately clear.

ISP: Police shoot man who led them on chase in stolen UHaul, rammed into police cars in Clay County
An officerinvolved shooting was under investigation in Clay County Tuesday evening.
An Indiana State Police spokesperson said the incident began around 5:50 p.m. April 15 when an offduty town marshal reported finding a UHaul truck he believed may have been reported stolen.
Troopers and Clay County Sheriffs Department deputies found the truck at a gas station around State Road 59 and State Road 42 and tried to stop it. The spokesperson said the driver of the truck disregarded the officers and went west on State Road 42 for a short distance, then turned onto a private drive and stopped. A female occupant then ran from the truck and the driver continued going south on the private drive, doing so before officers could get a tiredeflating device in place.
According to the spokesperson, the truck stopped a second time and officers began negotiating with the driver. When police tried again to deploy a tiredeflation tool, the driver put the truck in reverse, striking three sheriffs cars and nearly hitting a deputy.
