President Donald Trump s top advisers and Nayib Bukele, the president of El Salvador, said Monday that they had no basis for the small Central American nation to return a Maryland man who was wrongly deported there last month.
Trump administration officials emphasized that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was sent to a notorious gang prison in El Salvador, was a citizen of that country and that U.S. has no say in his future. And Bukele, who has been a vital partner for the Trump administration in its deportation efforts, said of course Im not going to release him back to U.S. soil.

Today will be one of the warmer April days so far as a warm front lifted through overnight. Temperatures will hold steady in the 60s and eventually recover into the low to mid 70s in the early afternoon. A cold front will eventually push through later this afternoon, but the lack of lowlevel moisture will limit rain and storm development for central Indiana. Look for some increased clouds, though.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed the far southeastern tier of Indiana under a level 1 of 5 risk for an isolated severe storm this evening, but the current setup appears this threat will likely stay east of central Indiana counties. Nonetheless, the cold front will shift our winds back from the west overnight ushering in cooler air.
Temperatures will drop into the low 40s by daybreak Tuesday and with gusty winds up to 35 mph at times tomorrow, afternoon high temperatures will be limited to the mid 50s about 10 degrees below average. It will be a quiet day outside the brisk wind with a mix of sun and clouds.
