An 18yearold man is dead following a shooting on Indys near northwest side Thursday afternoon.

According to IMPD, around 4:40 p.m. April 2, officers were called to the 900 block of West 32nd Street, near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street and Interstate 65, on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Indianapolis recently added to the long list of sporting events its hosted with the 2025 Midwest Regional Championship in conjunction with the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament.

Well, now theres a new path to do just that right here in the Hoosier State.

Purdue University is launching a new Sport Management graduate degree program in the fall of 2025. It will be led by Jeanne Boyd, who spent more than a decade as the Director of the Division 1 Mens Basketball Championshipincluding overseeing the 2006, 2010, and 2015 Final Fours in Indianapolis.
