Its been a lovely day in central Indiana, with mainly sunny skies and plenty of sunshine, but the temperatures have remained a bit on the chilly side. While it may have felt warm under the sun, afternoon highs only peaked in the 40s.
The reason? Were coming off the coldest morning weve had in over a month. While we didnt break any records, this morning marked the coldest weve seen this late in the season since April 16, 2020.
A Freeze Warning has been issued again for tonight, with temperatures expected to drop into the 20s to near 30. If youve planted any tender vegetation or have flowers that have bloomed early this year, youll want to take action to protect them from these freezing temperatures.

In Frankfort, Kentucky, rescue crews checking up on residents in the state capital traversed inundated streets in inflatable boats. Workers erected sandbag ramparts to protect homes and businesses and turned off utilities as the swollen Kentucky River kept rising.
